In many cases the fuel hardline in the engine bay or at the tank is a standard hardline with a barb / bump tube at the end. Traditionally a hose slips over and is clamped. For all of us we want to convert to 6AN for upgraded fuel lines, adding FPR, adapting fuel rail, etc. This adapter was developed to do just that. It's a two part fitting with an internal o-ring.
The o-ring slides over the hardline and is pushed against the bump tube / barb internally by the lower hex adapter as the 6AN upper portion threads into that lower hex adapter. This puts enough pressure against the o-ring to create a 200psi seal.
This could be used for anything with a 5/16 barb...valve cover, fuel vent, vacuum, cooling systems...anything 200psi and under! Cut from 6061 Aluminum with Mil-Spec tolerances and anodized Chase Bays signature semi-gloss black.
