EZ30 / EZ36 Engine Maintenance Guide

This page is just to save you the time of going back and forth searching or with Subaru Parts Dept. to get part #'s for things. We recommend replacing the following when you're installing this engine into ZN6 or any chassis for that matter. Even if the EZ came in your car and you've got some miles, these are great to do. Cool part about the EZ engine is they don't have very many gaskets. Here are part #'s and/or links per engine. On some we use OE supplier from RockAuto instead of dealer where it's okay. We included links to other things you may need too but specified not needed. Make sure when you reseal Timing Chain Cover you do the best work you've ever done and follow OE instruction to a T. Not something you want to leak as the engine has to come back out if it leaks.

• Chase Bays Timing Chain SS Hex Bolt Kit
• Water Pump
• Thermostat 170ºF
• Spark Plugs - NGK Iridium IX (6) LFR6AIX 0.044" gap (if turbo change to LFR7AIX 0.032" gap)
• Reseal Oil Pan and install NAS Oil Pan Baffle (from Stage 2 Kit or on it's own)
• Serpentine Belt and Tensioner or Chase Bays Alternator Relocation Kit (includes new belt)
• Chase Bays Alternator Relocation Kit Belt - Bando 6PK820 which is 6 rib, Micro V, 820 mm (approx. 32.3 inches)
• Engine Mount Drivers Left
• Engine Mount Drivers Right
