Chase Bays 6-2-1 Header for EZ30 / EZ36 into 86 / BRZ [ZN6]

After a year of hard work and testing, we're ready to release our EZ30 / EZ36 into ZN6 / 86 / BRZ Engine Swap Kit! We have already produced many of the components, however we want to pre-order 10 qty of the full kits and some of the components to confirm the hype is real and get some of the harder to produce items going. We've had a good bit of requests for individual components like our electronics package, cooling setup, and header...as much as we want to sell everything together so we know it's done right, we will have these items for sell on their own.

Again; we don't know volume. So we are functioning as a pre-order. Once we hit 10 qty it will take 6-8 weeks to complete and ship this. We will have the count below this text with dates to show how many we've pre-sold.

Kits Pre-Sold

We put an INSANE amount of thought into this all stainless steel header. Exhaust routing, sound, collector geometry, oil filter clearance, and installation all had to work together—with ZERO cutting of the factory subframe. This header is HIGH END and it makes power! EZ36 with stock internals: Chase Bays Intake, Chase Bays 6-2-1 Header, JDL 3" Over / Front Pipe, and HKS Hi-Power Exhaust:

Each bank uses a mirrored 3-into-1 perfectly merge, positioned inward to keep the connection between banks compact. These feed a custom 3D-printed stainless steel Y-collector. Its unusual shape is intentional: we evaluated multiple geometries through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to create the closest to equal-length paths through the merge within the small amount of space. Engine vibration if not handled well causes many issues, specific to this it can cause headers to crack. We have integrated a flex joint into the crossover and the final revision will have a flex joint when it all joins into one. This is CRUCIAL for longevity and is built through our own experience on the race track for 20 years.

The oil filter location drove multiple revisions. We refined the routing to retain the filter in its factory position and include an oil filter heat shield. Using the Chase Bays Dual Pass Oil Cooler Kit for EZ30 / EZ36 into 86 / BRZ / ZN6 is required for this header. You should not run this engine without an oil cooler, don't skip! On track after 30 laps our oil cooler temps never got to 210ºF which is unbelievable. Our Oil Cooler is massive and very effective.

Our cost to make this is significant at lower volume. Custom metal 3D printing, the best components, repeated design revisions. Every detail represents a problem we worked through so you have fewer to solve during your swap. Early on we were worried the header would cost $3,000+ so we're pleased to be UNDER $2,300.

Installation notes: Designed for Phase 2 EZ30R and EZ36 engines. Requires the factory oil cooler  removal and heater hose re-routing outlined in our swap guide. Requires the Chase Bays Dual Pass Oil Cooler Kit. Retains the factory undertray with trimming and approximately 5mm of spacing on the front 4 bolts. Do NOT use this with stock over / front pipe or exhaust, it doesn't flow enough. Must use JDL Over / Front Pipe in 2.75 or 3" and 2.75" or 3" Catback Exhaust of your choosing.

EZ36 Exhaust AVCS wiring and sensor on drivers right side, above header, sits pretty close. We used Chase Bays Firesleeve to DOUBLE layer all around the sensor and wiring. Use 0.75" ID Firesleeve and you can get it done with just 1 foot.
