Chase Bays Clutch Line - Corvette C5 | C6

$129.99

SKU: CB-CC-CLUTCH

The stock C5 & C6 Corvette clutch line leaves us a lot of room for improvement. It heat soaks, it is three pieces making four unnecessary connections, and has a soft rubber line that creates poor pedal feel. It is a well known issue that we experienced ourselves when the quick disconnect pops open and pours brake fluid all over the Bank 1 header. Our ONE-PIECE Clutch Line solves all of the above problems and more.

Designed to improve pedal feel, eliminate heat soak, improve engine bay aesthetics, and eliminate engine bay clutter...this FULL replacement one-piece line from clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder is a lot of product. Other "clutch lines" offered just replace the soft line between the stock hard lines. Our's includes the bleeder line too which makes bleeding the system easier than stock.

YES this works with our Tilton Clutch Master Cylinder Adapter Kit which is available HERE.

Tilton Delay Valve / Flow Control Valve Option

Tilton’s flow control valve may look like a fairly insignificant part, but it’s actually one of the smartest purchases any racer/drifter can make. By allowing the clutch to slip slightly during quick engagements or clutch kicks, the flow control valve reduces shock loads to the driveline, lowering the chance of losing traction when downshifting and/or the chance of damaging driveline components. All of this adds up to fewer break-downs and less money spent on replacement parts, making the flow control valve a great investment regardless of the type or level of racing/drifting you do.

Shock load is a result of an abrupt clutch engagement when the crankshaft and input shaft speeds are not precisely matched. The flow control valve is designed to reduce the chance of losing traction when downshifting and/or the chance of damaging driveline components. Fluid flow is not restricted during clutch disengagement. Therefore, shift times are still quick and pedal feel is not altered. The flow control valve will have an effect on quick clutch activations only. It will not alter or interfere with fine clutch modulation. You do feel it slightly slower to come up, but again it will not effect power put to the wheels.

We tested this on several of our drift builds all of 2024; our 500hp E36 and 450hp JZX100 both with R154, stock diff, and stock axles never had one break. We did NOT install this on our 410hp ZN6 with a CD00A, stock diff, and DSS 800hp axles for the first two events and BOTH events it broke an axle. We installed the Tilton Delay Valve and it's now been three events with no breaks. For ANY street, race, or drift car we build...this Tilton Flow Control Valve will now be installed on every one.

This option puts the delay valve at the halfway point on the clutch lines and changes it to a two piece clutch line from the one piece as explained above. There is no guarantee placed by Chase Bays that you will not break any drivetrain related part, race cars break. But this factually reduces drivetrain shock.

It is made using -3AN stainless steel, Teflon PTFE lined, PVC coated line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder with all stainless steel hose ends. Our PTFE Teflon inner core hose is manufactured from DuPont's Type 62 fine grade resin, 304 stainless steel wire braid. The hose has a burst pressure of 9000psi. It is chemically resistant and virtually unaffected by all commercial chemicals, acids, alcohols, coolants, hydrocarbons, solvents, synthetic compounds, and hydraulic fluids. More than half of those will hopefully never be on your car (hopefully).
