The Chase Bays Power Steering Rack Hardline Replacement is designed for those who have damaged the factory hard lines, to replace old rusty lines, and/or just to avoid doing so in the future. A MAJOR need in the G / Z world with how easily damaged these are working around the engine and of course install / removal. Our tight tolerance hose ends have more clearance than stock.
The factory steering rack hard lines are upgraded and replaced with 4AN stainless steel hose ends with stainless steel braided, Teflon PTFE lined, black PVC coated hose. We always use the best components in the industry and we pressure test every line we assemble. We guarantee a leak free installation if this products is installed correctly.
This has the metric adapters directly on the hose end and uses the same internal flare seal as stock. The shorter hose features our yellow Chase Bays heat shrink label.Â
Product Variants
The 350Z and G35 came from the factory with 3 different Power Steering Rack designs, and all have varying locations for the ports of the hardlines. The earlier DE racks (both 2003-2005 and 2006 versions) have the ports facing the engine towards the center of the car, while the HR racks have the ports facing the rear of the car. We have accounted for both variants needed as the line clocking is different between the designs.
